Narrative:

TMC is under subcontract to the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) to provide systems and software design, development and maintenance to update NW3C's TUX4N6 software. This software is an Ubuntu-based bootable operating system which consists of original applications that allow law enforcement agents to access a computer system in a forensically sound manner for the purposes of conducting a system preview or triage of data. It uses the Perl/Python and C programming languages and is distributed on a Live CD (i.e., the entire OS is contained on the CD and is loaded into RAM without the need to access internal or attached media). It is also convertible to operate from a USB drive.
